Strategy
As one of the countries most vulnerable to the impacts of global climate change, Vietnam is suffering significant human-caused effects, including extreme weather phenomena such as droughts, floods, rising sea levels, saltwater intrusion, and irregular rainfall patterns.
With the mission of accompanying Vietnamese farmers on their journey towards market economy and global integration, SSC recognizes the crucial role of science and knowledge in determining the competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products and addressing the challenges posed by climate change.
Therefore, we continuously strive to research solutions to collectively address the negative impacts of climate change, such as the reduction of arable land area, decreased productivity, and crop losses due to adverse weather conditions.
At SSC, we identify sustainable development as a responsibility not only of the Leadership Board but also of all members within SSC.
